D.I.Y Makeup Remover

Although makeup remover can be quick and easy to apply, it may contain many active cleansing ingredients. Unless washed off thoroughly a residue may be left behind exposing the skin to excess amounts of various chemicals. These can dry and irate the skin. Some makeup removers also contain fragrance and multiple preservatives such as formaldehyde.

What’s the most important thing when choosing a makeup remover? Avoid those that may contain alcohol, fragrances and preservatives whenever possible.  So why not go natural and make one yourself. Try my go to all natural makeup remover, it’s super easy and works great!

The truth about makeup removers! / Fit.Fabulous.Beautiful

How to make my D.I.Y all natural Makeup Remover

  •  combine 1/2 and 1/2 olive oil and witch hazel ( I prefer the alcohol free Rose petal version ) in a small travel size bottle
  • shake generously before use
  • apply a small amount of product to a cotton makeup pad then swipe gently across your eyelids and be amazed.

I find this D.I.Y version to be more cost-effective, and much more gentle on my skin.  For more great D.I.Y beauty projects, check out my 5 easy D.I.Y gift ideas for the beauty in your life!
