Living a busy and active lifestyle, it can be hard to make sure we are always eating healthy and getting proper nutrition between meals while on the go. I am always in search of new recipes for convenient grab and go snacks that not only taste great but pack a nutritional punch. I have put together a list of my top 5 favourite on the go snacks, all the recipes listed are easy, quick and provide great nutrition on the go in easy pack and go portions. I make all of these snacks regularly, they are super quick and tasty. I prefer to double or triple the ingredients and then pack in zip-locks for storage in freezer, then when needed I can just grab a few bars or balls when I am running out the door. Yes I eat them frozen, but if you prefer they do thaw quickly just leave on the counter for a few minutes. I also kick up nutritional value by adding extras to all my bars and balls. I always add flax, chia, coconut, cinnamon, nuts and seeds(If desired) and occasionally dark chocolate chips as a little treat.
